Richard Kitzinger

Richard’s background is in language-learning and teaching. He graduated with a BA in French and a PGCE in Modern Languages from the University of Exeter. He went on to teach languages for many years in secondary schools both in England and in Australia where he was Head of Languages at The King’s School, Parramatta, Australia’s oldest school.

Returning to England’s West Country in 2013, Richard decided to change career. He gained an MA in Travel and Nature Writing from Bath Spa University and now undertakes a couple of writing commissions overseas each year. He also requalified as a Will writer and travels across the South-West region, visiting clients to help them with their estate planning matters. In his spare time, he writes content for Taunton Rugby Club’s website and match programmes, holds season tickets for Exeter Chiefs Rugby and Somerset CCC, is a qualified cricket coach and sings in various choirs and musical theatre companies.

Richard is the Chair of MKT’s Education Sub-Committee and is proud to continue the family connection with the Trust and its important work. Mary Kitzinger was Richard’s aunt.
